Outcome summary
We built the enterprise platform and online shop of Conte of Florence, extended it over the years with a loyalty card, a franchising area and a link to the stores' stock, and in 2017 moved it onto a server cluster we designed.
Starting situation
Conte of Florence is an Italian fashion brand with its own shops and a franchising network. A fashion brand sells through its own shops, retailers and website at the same time. It needs one platform behind the brand site: products, prices and orders managed in one place, and an online shop that stays up during launches and sales.
The system
- Online shop and catalogue with translated texts, size charts, outlet and "special occasion" listings.
- Prices and promotions: price lists, discount coupons, promotional items loaded from CSV files, and outlet pricing.
- Checkout: credit card (Moneta), PayPal, a bank card terminal and, from 2017, cash on delivery; unpaid orders expire automatically.
- Customers: a loyalty card, birthday emails, a customer-care and assistance form, and a franchising area with its own login.
- Stores: a store locator. All the retail warehouses are connected to the web availability, and a customer can order from the distributed warehouse: the system handles automatically the separate lists coming from the different warehouses.
- News, side pages and product videos served from our own server, plus the Facebook pixel for advertising from 2017.
- Export of customers and of historical orders.
Implementation
The platform was built by Michele Nunno's studio in Italy, CNP Studio.
The first version was written in 2013. We kept developing it until 2020, with a new platform generation from 2016. In 2017 we designed and installed the server cluster that runs it.
Results and evidence
Conte of Florence ran its online shop, its loyalty card and its franchising network on a platform that we wrote and kept up to date for years. Every retail warehouse was visible to the web shop, and an order could be served from the distributed warehouse.
