Outcome summary
We built the enterprise platform and online shop of Dekker with UPS shipping and returns, sales charts and a store locator, rebuilt it as a modular platform from 2015, and in 2017 installed the server cluster that runs it.
Starting situation
Dekker is an Italian fashion brand. A fashion brand sells through its own shops, retailers and website at the same time. It needs one platform behind the brand site: products, prices and orders managed in one place, and an online shop that stays up during launches and sales.
The system
- Catalogue and collections with translated texts and size charts, and VAT handled per order.
- Checkout: credit card (Moneta) and PayPal, with confirmation emails.
- Shipping and returns: UPS integration from 2013, with labels, pick-up requests and return emails.
- Sales charts in the back office, a store locator and the import of products, customers and orders from the previous system.
- From 2015, a new modular platform: content blocks, price lists, a cache and a CDN for speed, an AJAX newsletter signup, the Facebook pixel and a customer export.
Implementation
The platform was built by Michele Nunno's studio in Italy, CNP Studio.
The first platform was written in 2013. We rebuilt it as a modular platform between 2015 and 2019, and in 2017 designed and installed the server cluster that runs it.
Results and evidence
Dekker ran its online shop on a platform that we built, rebuilt and hosted on infrastructure we designed.
